You can not force someone to do something just because you are a police officer. He is not above the law. That was brutality. It was not necessary to be voilent. Maybe police officers need to learn psychology and know how to calm a person down and be convincing in a gentle caring way rather then to be feared.

And no I don’t think the cops can do no wrong. There are plenty of cases when they fuck up but this is not one of them. The guy wasn’t complying with a cop and when you don’t do that you know it’s gonna get ugly! He’s not going to just walk away and say, “Ok your free to go because you don’t want to take the test.”
I suppose in your world view, the cops can do no wrong, and any time they suspect you have violated one of the 63 MILLION “laws”, they should just throw your ass in jail, and then you can just sit for 60-90 days (or more) “waiting for a judge to convict you”.
I can not offer you a civil discussion if you spit upon the Constitution. You go worship the cops, and trust your life to the system. One day very soon, you will get arrested, and your worldview will change. Look me up then. We’ll talk.
You didn’t answer my question. Was the cop just supposed to let the guy go because he didn’t want to comply with him? Is drunk driving a crime? I suppose in your world the guy would have to run over a kid before he “actually broke the law” and then keep driving for a month waiting for a judge to convict him so they don’t “violate his constitutional rights”? The guy refused the test knowing he wasn’t going to be let go so why did he fight? I’ll ask again, was the cop just supposed to let him go?

Violating the states list of rules (i.e.statutes) is a “statutory offense”. To call it “crime” is to subvert the language for the purpose of propaganda for the socialist agenda. Wake up. What the hell do you mean a crime can only be reported by a victim? Drunk driving is not a crime on your planet? So your saying the cop should have just said “Oh ok. Since you don’t want to listen to me and I don’t have a warrant, you can just go.”? Obviously he got pulled over for a reason and obviously the cop had a reason to take the drunk in like oh, I don’t know drunk driving. That is illegal right? And no the cop doesn’t need a warrant to arrest anybody! PROBABLE CAUSE! Read some laws!!
And what country did you grow up in? A “crime” can only be reported by an actual victim. You acknowledge “is that for the drunk to decide or a judge down the road?” It’s ok for a cop to pass judgment on the side of the street, but not for a free man? You are totally wrong about the “responsibilities and powers given to a cop.” Show me where the Constitution authorizes this role of “cop”. A lawful “search and seizure” REQUIRES a warrant. So what responsibilities and powers are given to a person when they become a cop? They have the right to pull someone over and if they suspect a crime issue a ticket or arrest the person right? That was hilarious. That guy deserved it. End of story. He chose to disobey a lawful order, he (violently) resisted arrest, and was very verbally abusive. Kudos to the officer for maintaining composure, refraining from obscenities, and treating the suspect with respect the whole time.

@frieda1889 I’m sorry about what I wrote that day. I was drunk, and I did drive, and I do regret it. I made it there and back just fine, but I did end up driving in the wrong lane with my headlights off for most of the way as a joke to the others in the car with me. I’m surprised we all made it home in one peace. It was fun while it was happing but the next day it scared the shit out of me. I have refused to drink and drive since that night. Your right, I’m a heartless dumb prick, and I’m sorry.

It’s quite a simple understanding of how the body works and drivers education really.
When you tense up in any kind of accident, you are going to hurt yourself more because your body is putting a lot more strain the needs to be there, thus, more injury.
Drunk drivers live a lot because their brain is relaxed and body is flimsy…so in turn, their body is flowing with the car, so they are following with “The motion of the ocean” as I call it.
I like to drink drink and drive, I’m drunk right now and driving the 8 miles to Dennys, the resturant,. I hope I make it, And I hope I don’t kill anyone.
